Tom Crean is working to re-stock the Georgia men’s basketball roster, and on Sunday, he received a commitment from Jailyn Ingram, a transfer out of Florida Atlantic.

Ingram started 90 games for the Owls and has scored more than 1,000 points in his collegiate career. The 6-foot-7, 219-pound Georgia native also averaged five rebounds per game. From the field, Ingram shot 45 percent from the field, and at the line, Ingram has made 71 percent of his free throws.

He left FAU as sixth all-time in points scored.

Ingram played 122 games for the Owls and averaged 10.9 points per game, 5.2 rebounds per game, and 1.5 assists per game for his career. This past season, Ingram averaged 12.4 points per game, 6 rebounds per game, and 1.7 assists per game.

Ingram is from Madison, Georgia (Morgan County), about 30 miles south of Athens, where he won 2 state titles in high school, and scored 2,000 points.

Georgia is like many other teams this offseason as the sport has dealt with more than 1,000 players entering the transfer portal.

Ingram is the second transfer to join Georgia this offseason. Illinois-Chicago big man Braelen Bridges already committed.

Georgia lost four transfers including starting forward Toumani Camara (Dayton) and guard Tye Fagan (Ole Miss).
