Tom Rinaldi in recent months moved from ESPN to Fox Sports, but he’s evidently cleared enough time in his schedule to produce narration for custom hype videos for college football programs.

Rinaldi, who gained fame as a storyteller on ESPN’s “College GameDay,” was heard on a hype video put out by LSU.

Focused on the word “redemption,” the video highlights the path to a return to championship success for LSU, which stumbled to a 5-5 record last season, and coach Ed Orgeron overhauled his coaching staff in the offseason. The school is also facing a series of legal issues around sexual misconduct within the program.

“Redemption is the grace of God,” Rinaldi said. “It is the return home, it is the hope of spring and the promise of fall.”

Orgeron, for his part, often tells reporters that he can turn around the program because he’s done it before, in fact, just two years ago. That’s when the Tigers produced a record-breaking year that led to the program’s fourth national title, second Heisman Trophy and established the Tigers as, Orgeron has said, “the best team in the world.”

Orgeron wonders if some people have forgotten that, and he’s admitted that he understands that, though he’s no doubt confident that the Tigers can soon return to a championship level.
