Zion Branch reportedly holds 43 offers, but he has recently narrowed his list to five schools.

The No. 4 safety from Las Vegas, Nevada (Bishop Gorman) announced that his top five schools are Alabama, Clemson, Southern Cal, Oklahoma and Ohio State. He is the No. 1 player in the state of Nevada, and the No. 49 player overall as ranked by the 247Sports Composite.

He is expected to announce his decision live during the Under Armour All-America Game. The Buckeyes, Sooners and Trojans had him for official visits in June, while the Crimson Tide and Tigers are set to host the talented defender during the season, 247Sports reported.

“I definitely plan to visit Alabama and Clemson,” Branch said. “I’m excited to see both schools and have real interest in both right now. My plan is to commit when I’m back out here in Florida for the Under Armour All-America Game so I have plenty of time to make my decision. I really want to take my time, watch my teams play this season and weigh all my options so I can make a really well informed decision. I know I’ll be leaving home no matter where I go so I want to make sure I’m comfortable there and that’s why the trips are so important for me.”

His scouting report describes him this way by 247Sports: With a strong frame and projectable length, Branch is a highly physical defensive back with good ball-tracking skills. He’s a well-rounded defender that can cover, make plays on the ball and impact the run game closer to the line of scrimmage. Branch has flashed the versatility to fit at various spots and, depending on how he grows into his build, could be a candidate to move into the box. He shows a natural feel in space and roams the secondary with confidence, reacting quickly, closing on ball carriers and wrapping up well.
