The 2022 NFL Draft is still a long time away. After all, the 2021 season just started and the Draft doesn’t take place until April 28-30. So a lot can change between now and then.

However, it seems likely that Texas A&M’s Isaiah Spiller will remain among the top running backs in the upcoming class. And he may even continue to boost his stock over the course of the Aggies’ season.

So far, Spiller has been impressive. Although he had only 8 carries for 20 yards in Texas A&M’s season-opening win over Colorado, he had 6 catches for 56 yards and a touchdown in that game. In last week’s win over Kent State, Spiller had 17 carries for 113 yards.

It impressed Matt Miller of TheDraftScout.com, who tweeted on Thursday that he believes Spiller has “the best NFL skill set in this year’s class.” That tweet came as a reply to somebody who asked Miller who he believes will be the first running back taken in the 2022 Draft.

Spiller, who is currently a junior at Texas A&M, has been a consistently strong performer over his 3 seasons with the Aggies. As long as he continues to produce at this level, there’s a good chance that Miller could be right and Spiller will go on to have success in the NFL.

Spiller will look to keep putting up impressive numbers as Texas A&M goes for a 3-0 start when it hosts New Mexico on Saturday at noon ET on SEC Network.
