Urban Meyer is off to a rough start in Jacksonville, and according to other NFL coaches, it won’t last long.

That report comes from Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports, who also reported about Meyer’s involvement in the Southern Cal coaching search.

“Urban Meyer says he’s not interested either, but many of his fellow coaches believe could be a one and done in Jacksonville,” La Canfora said, per Swamp247.

In the NFL circles, Meyer’s first impressions from the preseason didn’t go over well, according to La Canfora from an earlier report.

“He has everyone looking over their shoulders already,” a source with direct knowledge of the daily operations in Jacksonville told La Canfora. “He becomes unhinged way too easily, and he doesn’t know how to handle losing, even in the preseason. He loses it and wants to take over the drills himself. It’s not good. You can’t freak out about preseason games and belittle your coaches — on a staff you handpicked — every time things don’t go your way. It’s not going to work here,” another source said.

Meyer himself has shot down questions about USC.

“No chance,” Meyer told reporters last week regarding the USC job. “I’m here. I’m committed to try and build an organization.”

The Trojans fired coach Clay Helton after their Week 2 loss to Stanford. Meanwhile, they bounced back with a win on Saturday, 45-14 at Washington State.
