Mike Leach is aware of some of the great atmospheres in college football, and Kyle Field certainly fits on that list. Leach and Mississippi State will travel to College Station this week to take on Texas A&M, and be in the midst of that heavy home-field advantage.

“There are some unique traditions,” Leach said on the SEC coaches media teleconference. “It’s loud. One of the biggest things is everyone’s extremely enthusiastic to be there. It’s a great place to play.”

One area to improve on offense is at wide receiver, where Leach offered his own evaluation.

“I’d say average,” he said. “We’ve got to get better there, for sure.”

Makai Polk leads the Bulldogs with 33 catches for 304 yards and 2 touchdowns, and Austin Williams is next in yards with 211 on 20 catches, but Jaden Walley leads the team with 3 touchdowns.
