Jaylen Waddle can make NFL history on Sunday vs. Colts

Jaylen Waddle could be on the verge of making NFL history Sunday.

The former Alabama star and current Miami Dolphins rookie has caught 22 passes so far this season, which is the 2nd best mark of the Super Bowl era for a player in the first 3 games of his career.

With 8 receptions against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, Waddle would equal Anquan Bolden’s record for the most by a player in his first 4 games with 30 catches.

After 12 catches last week, Dolphins WR Jaylen Waddle is up to 22 catches through 3 games, the second most by any player in his first 3 career games in the Super Bowl era.

With 8 today, he’d tie Anquan Boldin for the most through 4 games.

Waddle’s 22 receptions this season have accounted for 167 yards and a touchdown.

After a standout career with the Crimson Tide, he was taken by Miami with the No. 6 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.

In 3 years at Alabama, the 5-10, 182-pounder caught 106 passes for 1,999 yards and 17 touchdowns.
