With Week 6 of the college football season about to get underway, LSU is making some changes to its COVID-19 protocols.

On Aug. 24th, the Tigers were among one of the first schools to require fans to provide proof of vaccination, or a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours of entering. Now the team is updating that policy, and announced its plans on Friday.

Many schools still have this protocol in place, or something similar. LSU explained its reasoning by referencing the COVID-19 rates across the state of Louisiana.

It’ll be interesting to see if more schools reverse similar rules if the virus cases begin to go down in other states as well.
