Alabama fans furious with targeting ejection on Malachi Moore
Malachi Moore had an early exit of Alabama’s game against Texas A&M as he was flagged for a targeting call against QB Zach Calzada, and it was confirmed upon review.
Moore is a key defender for Alabama, especially in passing situations, and earlier this season he made an interception against Miami from the star position. Moore made the hit while rushing Calzada and hit him in the facemask.
A&M went down and kicked a field goal to take an early lead in the game before a sellout crowd at Kyle Field.
Here’s a sampling of the reaction to the penalty and ejection:
This is thanks in large part to Malachi Moore’s head-scratching targeting play. Nick Saban is going to be furious when he sees that on tape tomorrow. Can’t make those types of mistakes. https://t.co/xqc6h0idF5

Okay hear me out- what if people were capable of thinking about multiple things at once?
For example, people could agree on roughing the passer AND think targeting was a bad call, at the same time! https://t.co/tA1mlLXEOm

A soft targeting call, but an undisciplined play by Moore there https://t.co/AFFMhkWeas

@NCAA we all agree with targeting calls. We also agree that it is stupid and WRONG to disqualify a player off of their first offense. Just had a kid bump noggins with a QB in the FIRST quarter and he is out for the game. Absolute BS. FIX IT!!!!!!!

The targeting rule is basically what society has become… a bunch of cry babies that aren’t tough enough to suck it up…
