Ed Orgeron’s job performance and security is a major topic of discussion around LSU, and the coach was asked about it again on Tuesday.

Orgeron made his weekly appearance on “Off the Bench” on ESPN Baton Rouge, and discussed his job security.

“My job is to come here to LSU and coach the best I can on a daily basis,” Orgeron said. “That’s what I’m doing. Out there, the talk about my job and all that stuff, nobody’s told me anything as far as I know, the head coach of LSU Tigers. I’m going to coach as hard as I can today, one day at a time.”

Orgeron then shared how the players are handling the “outside noise.” The Tigers play host to Florida on Saturday at noon ET at Tiger Stadium in a game on ESPN.

“It’s Florida, man,” Orgeron said. “Believe it or not, yesterday was one of our better Monday practices, 24-hour rule, on to Florida. Here’s what I told them. I said, ‘Listen, you’re going to remember this the rest of your life. You decided to fight, your backs are against the wall, you stayed together and you fought and that’s our mantra right now. Stay together and fight.”
