Alabama quarterback Bryce Young took his team’s upset loss to Texas A&M especially hard.

The sophomore from Pasadena, California, didn’t play poorly against the Aggies, but a red-zone interception in the 1st half was costly and it was a mistake that he called “inexcusable” after the game.

If there were any concerns, however, about how Young and his teammates would bounce back from the loss in the College Station, they were erased quickly on Saturday night in a 49-9 blowout win at Mississippi State.

The Crimson Tide (6-1, 3-1 SEC) jumped out to a 14-3 lead after the first quarter and were never challenged from there, and Young was sensational.

The 6-foot, 194-pounder completed 20-of-28 passes for 348 yards, 4 touchdowns, and no interceptions, and he’s now thrown 24 TD passes through 7 games on the season.

While the loss at Texas A&M might have been a blow to Young’s Heisman Trophy chances, that blow was likely just temporary.

His play on Saturday night had college football fans buzzing once again.

Here’s a look at some of the reaction to Young’s performance against the Bulldogs:
