Texas A&M is starting to play like the team many expected to see in 2021 but injuries remain a concern.

The No. 17 Aggies are hoping to get healthier down the stretch, and on Monday head coach Jimbo Fisher provided some encouraging updates.

During his weekly press conference, Fisher said that standout offensive lineman Kenyon Green is fine after having to leave the Missouri game early last Saturday.

Green was honored Monday as one of the SEC’s players of the week.

Additionally, defensive tackle Jayden Peevy, who missed the game with the Tigers, should be ready for Saturday’s game with South Carolina.

At wide receiver, Fisher said that Caleb Chapman has returned to practice but Hez Jones, who had only played in 1 game this season, will be out for the rest of the year.

The Aggies are 5-2 overall and 2-2 in SEC play on the season.

Their game with the Gamecocks on Saturday will be televised on the SEC Network at 7:30 p.m. EST.
