James Franklin has had enough.

The Penn State head coach finally addressed the rumors that he might be interested in other head coaching jobs, particularly at LSU and Southern California. Both programs are currently looking for new head coaches after announcing coaching changes this season.

Franklin seems like he could be a good fit at either school after his success at Vanderbilt and, more recently, Penn State. He doesn’t want to hear it.

“I care what people think and I want to handle things the right way all the time with the players, with the staff, with the administration,” Franklin explained in a report by Yahoo Sports. “I want to use the golden rule… treat people the way you want to be treated.”

That means you’ll get no hint if Franklin is interested in another job. It’s easy to understand Franklin’s frustration. His Nittany Lions are 5-1 and very much in the chase for a spot in the College Football Playoff.

Penn State hosts Illinois at noon today.
