After winning 6 consecutive games to open the 2021 season, Kentucky couldn’t remain unbeaten on Oct. 16, when it lost to Georgia. But the Bulldogs are the No. 1 team in the country, so it wasn’t a completely surprising defeat for the Wildcats.

It also doesn’t mean that Kentucky isn’t a strong team. And after a week off following that setback, the No. 12-ranked Wildcats are looking to get back on track this Saturday.

Kentucky is going on the road to take on Mississippi State in what could be a competitive contest. On Friday, the Wildcats announced that they’ll be wearing blue helmets, white jerseys and blue pants for the matchup:

The Kentucky-Mississippi State all-time series is tied at 24, so Saturday’s winner will take the lead. Last year, the Wildcats beat the Bulldogs, 24-2, in Lexington. And the schools have alternated wins and losses the past 6 years.

Kentucky and Mississippi State are set to kick off on Saturday at 7 p.m. ET on SEC Network.
