Bo Nix made a costly mistake for Auburn early in the fourth quarter on Saturday, and Texas A&M was there to take advantage.

Scrambling left to look for a receiver downfield, Nix lost the ball, and Texas A&M’s Michael Clemons picked the ball up and returned it for a touchdown from 24 yards out to give the Aggies a 17-3 lead. Jayden Peevy was credited with a forced fumble on the play, where Nix lost 11 yards.

This was a game-changing play in a matchup that had struggled to find any offensive rhythm from either side in this critical game between ranked teams for the SEC West standings. Previously, field goals were the only points on the scoreboard for both sides as they each exchanged field goal attempt misses, and A&M held an edge in field goals 3-1.

The Aggies also converted the 2-point conversion after the play.
