The Missouri Tigers were appropriately patriotic for their Veterans Day uniform reveal for Week 11 against South Carolina. The special reveal features assistant coach Curtis Looper sporting the jersey number of his son, Chance Luper.

Luper explains in a special video why he decided to leave football briefly and join the US Army. He says he grew up in a military family and lived right across the street from the recruiting office. So one day, he went there, took the test, passed it, and told his coaches he was going to the Army. He served during Desert Storm.

The Tigers and Gamecocks will kick off Saturday at 3 p.m. CT.
