The transfer portal has been a busy place for several SEC teams this offseason as another player announces where he will be heading next season.

Former Mississippi State linebacker Rodney Groce Jr. announced he will be transferring to Arizona State. Groce, who is from Alabama, spent 2 years in Starkville and told his coaches back in November he’d be moving on.

While with Mississippi State, Groce did not start and had no stats, although he did play in one game, which probably explains why he is leaving for greener pastures out west in Pac 12 country.

Arizona State head coach Herm Edwards is known for being have a great defensive coach, which may benefit Groce.
