Despite having a huge recruiting day this week per usual, Alabama lost a huge commitment Friday to former Crimson Tide assistant, now Miami head coach Mario Cristobal.

He flipped Alabama commit 4-star Jaleel Skinner to the Hurricanes. Skinner is the No. 3 tight end in this class, and the No. 15 player in the state of Florida, according to the 247Sports Composite. Skinner made his announcement on social media.

Skinner thanked the Alabama coaching staff, but said Cristobal being named head coach made a difference to him and made him rethink his choices in schools, and so he decided to stay home and go to Miami.

While at Alabama, Cristobal was known as an excellent recruiter for Nick Saban, which is one of the reasons Oregon had picked him as their head coach years ago.

Now, as the new head coach for the Hurricanes, he is already making a huge impact on that program.
