Kentucky won its 10th game of the season with a thrilling 20-17 come-from-behind victory over Iowa in the Citrus Bowl on Saturday.

The Wildcats were able to win despite missing a number of key players, including star defensive end Josh Paschal.

Paschal’s absence had been expected after Mark Stoops said Friday he was unlikely to play due to undisclosed health issues.

After watching his team get the victory on Saturday, Paschal shared his future plans with reporters, announcing that he had played his final game at Kentucky and would be focusing on getting healthy and preparing for the 2022 NFL Draft.

Paschal is listed as a senior on the Wildcats roster but he could have opted for another year in Lexington under the NCAA’s COVID-19 eligibility rule.

Paschal started all 12 games regular season games for Kentucky in 2021 and registered 53 tackles, 15.5 tackles for losses, and 5.5 sacks.
