Chris Mortensen is dialed in with NFL sources, so now that Ole Miss QB Matt Corral has played his final game for the Rebels, NFL scouts are looking into whether their teams should draft him or not.

Unfortunately, Corral’s season ended with an ankle injury in the Sugar Bowl on Saturday night.

But, according to Mortensen, the injury isn’t expected to be as serious as it appeared. Mortensen tweeted that sources told him the injury was “not as serious as the optics”:

As for how the injury will impact Corral’s draft stock, Mortensen said it’ll depend on whether or not he’s healthy enough to participate in the NFL Combine and a Pro Day:

Corral is getting serious first-round buzz, so hopefully he’s healthy enough to show his skills over the next couple of months.
