Jameson Williams went down in the second quarter of the CFP National Championship Game with a bad-looking knee injury.

The injury occurred when Williams wasn’t being tackled, making it look even worse for the big-play threat.

And, now, the news is confirmed. Per ESPN’s Chris Low, and confirmed by the ESPN broadcast, Williams will miss the rest of the title game:

Obviously, that’s a huge loss for the Tide, as Williams was their top receiver in 2021. On the first possession of the third quarter, QB Bryce Young threw an interception.

We’ll see if the offense can regroup and get some contributions from younger receivers moving forward. If not, Georgia might be able to come back and win.
