Van Jefferson quickly left SoFi Stadium after the Super Bowl on Sunday night and rushed to a hospital to meet his wife, Samaria, who was set to give birth to a son.

Samaria reportedly left SoFi Stadium in the middle of the game and was rushed to the hospital. According to Jefferson’s Instagram post, it appeared everything went well with the delivery.

In the game, a Rams 23-20 victory, Jefferson made 4 catches for 23 yards on 8 targets.

Cooper Kupp was named the Super Bowl’s Most Valuable Player after he made 8 receptions for 92 yards and 2 touchdowns. His 1-yard touchdown pass from Matthew Stafford with 1:25 capped an impressive drive in which he had 4 catches for 39 yards on the final drive along with a 7-yard run on fourth-and-1 to keep the drive alive.

Kupp set a postseason record for receptions with 33.

Stafford completed 7 of 11 for 57 yards on the 15-play, 79-yard drive.

Outside of the game, the halftime show received largely high marks from the massive audience. Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Mary J. Blige, Eminem and Kendrick Lamar offered a California homecoming and performed several of their hits as expected, and there was a surprise appearance by 50 Cent.
