Arik Gilbert is reportedly back with the Georgia team and practicing after he missed last season because of personal reasons, UGA Wire reported.

Gilbert, a Marietta, Georgia native who played 1 season at LSU before his transfer, is a former 5-star tight end, and one of the best freshmen in the SEC when he last played in 2020.

Gilbert at LSU in 2020 started all 8 games in which he played and caught 35 passes for 368 yards and 2 TDs. He was a dynamic threat especially on key downs as of his 35 catches, 24 resulted in either a first down or a touchdown, and of those 24 first-down or TD catches, 11 came on third or fourth down. Showing his versatility, Gilbert started the Alabama game at wide receiver.
