JT Daniels continues to look for a new program as he’s in the transfer portal while finishing his degree at Georgia this spring.

The soon-to-be former Georgia quarterback reportedly visited Oregon State last week, and West Virginia is also in the mix. But this week, Daniels is set to visit Missouri as the Tigers will have a Saturday scrimmage during spring practice. Dawg Nation reported about the Mizzou visit, and noted that the Tigers were the first program to call Daniels after he entered into the NCAA transfer portal in January after he met with Coach Kirby Smart.

As for the Mizzou perspective, last week coach Eli Drinkwitz was asked about pursuing a quarterback from the transfer portal.

“We’re not actively seeking, but we’re not actively shying away from it either,” Drinkwitz said, per Lila Bromberg of The Kansas City Star.

Daniels decision to look to play elsewhere came after it became clear that Stetson Bennett would return to Georgia.

Daniels likely left a positive impression on Drinkwitz in Georgia’s 49-14 win over the Tigers in 2020. In that game, Daniels was 16-of-27 passing for 299 yards with 3 touchdowns and no interceptions during freezing temperatures in the win over Missouri as the Bulldogs closed the 2020 season with 4 consecutive wins.

The final start for Daniels in 2021 came against Vanderbilt when he opened the game 9-of-10 passing to lead Georgia to a 35-0 first-quarter lead, but he left the game after aggravating an ongoing oblique injury.
