Sean Miller reportedly is headed to his next head coaching destination. Unfortunately for South Carolina, it will not be with the Gamecocks.

According to Matt Norlander with CBS Sports, Miller will re-enter the head coaching ranks as the next head coach at Xavier. Norlander also reported Miller had an offer on the table from South Carolina, but he instead is heading back to Xavier.

Miller is familiar with the Musketeers after getting his rise as a head coach over 5 seasons with the program.

Miller went 120-47 over 5 seasons with Xavier beginning in 2004. He also recorded 4 NCAA Tournament appearances and an Elite 8 appearance in that stretch. Miller was fired by Arizona after the 2020-21 season.

Now, South Carolina will continue its search for the next head coach to follow Frank Martin. The Gamecocks have not made the NCAA Tournament since 2017 when they made a run to the Final Four.
