A Tiger Stadium crowd of over 102,000 made a lot of noise when Garth Brooks played on LSU’s home field. In fact, seismograph readings show that Brooks’ “Callin’ Baton Rouge” performance in Death Valley registered as a small earthquake.

WBRZ shared the news earlier this week and the story has gone on to make national headlines in outlets including People magazine and The Washington Post.

Fans in attendance wearing Apple Watches received loud environment warnings during the song, a staple of LSU home football games.

Over the last few years, Brooks has toured stadiums. The 40-show tour has included stops at The Swamp (April 20, 2019), Neyland Stadium (Nov. 16, 2019) and Razorback Stadium (April 23, 2022). Notre Dame Stadium is the next date on the country music legend’s tour. That show is set for Saturday.
