Emory Jones, former starting quarterback at Florida, has reportedly landed with his new team.

Jones, who remained in class and made a positive first impression with new coach Billy Napier, has committed to Arizona State, Pete Thamel of ESPN reported, and not that Jones has 2 years of eligibility remaining.

Jones last season led Florida in passing and rushing, with 2,734 yards passing, and 19 touchdowns to go along with 758 yards rushing, and 4 touchdowns. Jones throughout the 2021 season was often viewed as the second choice among fans, who clamored for Anthony Richardson, and much to their chagrin, former coach Dan Mullen continued to start Jones.

Jones played in the Gasparilla Bowl against UCF, and had a solid game, as he went 14-for-36 passing for 171 yards, and he also chipped in 62 yards rushing on 10 carries.

For his career at Florida, Jones completed 64.6 percent of his passes for 3,347 yards, 26 touchdowns and 14 interceptions, adding 1,273 yards and ten touchdowns on the ground and catching two passes for 28 yards and score.

Arizona State under Herm Edwards in recent months has dealt with an NCAA investigation, and coaching turnover. So perhaps Jones can be the start of some stability around the Sun Devils.
