Auburn is in the middle of a tough week on the schedule, and the Tigers secured a big win Saturday afternoon.

Over last weekend, Auburn dropped a series to Tennessee but did secure one win in that series against the Volunteers. Then on Friday, the Tigers dropped a series opener against Arkansas.

Saturday’s game was a different story, though it did take Auburn scoring 3 runs from the 7th inning onward to make it happen. Entering the bottom of the 7th, the Razorbacks held a 3-2 lead.

In the 7th, Blake Rambusch blasted a solo shot to the opposite field to tie it up at 3-all:

Auburn was finally able to take the lead for good. This time, the Tigers turned to a squeeze bunt. Mason Land dropped it down and an errant throw by the pitcher allowed the run to score without getting an out.

In the end, Cole Foster would tack on an RBI with a sacrifice fly for the 5-3 lead. The Razorbacks would go down quietly in the 9th as Auburn evens up the series with the No. 3 team in the nation.

Sunday should produce an intriguing rubber match between the Tigers and Razorbacks.
