Tennessee turned in a performance to remember on Thursday in an SEC Tournament quarterfinal win over Mississippi State.

A one-out single from Lair Beautae knocked in the winning run in Rylie West as the Lady Vols advanced to the semifinals with a dramatic 1-0 win over the Lady Bulldogs.

For the Lady Vols, the gem came from Ashley Rogers, who went the distance, 13 innings, and allowed 3 hits and struck out 7 by tossing 161 pitches.

Annie Willis, who pitched for State, delivered several key pitches, but hardly any more clutch than a strike 3 pitch with the bases loaded in the ninth inning. Willis relieved Kenley Hawk, who went 5 2/3 innings and allowed 6 hits and a walk with 2 strikeouts.

The State pitchers somehow scattered 11 hits and stranded 14 Lady Vols to avoid any trouble.
