Kentucky basketball head coach John Calipari did say that Kentucky was a basketball school.

Some may have doubted that statement, but Daimion Collins took the basketball court on Sunday to prove it. Collins took the opportunity to show off a killer dunk:

Usually stoic, even Calipari looked impressed as he took in the moment from the sidelines. It doesn’t appear as though the recent circus within the Kentucky athletic department had any lasting negative effects on Calipari or the team. The Wildcats are currently on tour, taking on the Bahamas National Select team on Sunday. Its the team’s fourth pre-season game, having won their past 3 games by an average of more than 50 points.

Ignoring any ongoing hullabaloo, Daimion Collins let his play on the court speak for itself. It isn’t the first time Collins has impressed in the preseason. Against the Dominican Republic, Collins had an outstanding game totaling 15 points, five rebounds, five assists, two blocks, and one steal. Collins pulled out all the stops, showing off “smooth pull-up jumpers, ridiculous blocked shots, and unreal poster dunks.”

Kentucky’s 2022 basketball season kicks off Nov. 15 against Michigan State.
