Paul Finebaum believes you can be on the hot seat without there being a threat of losing a job, and that’s where the ESPN commentator sees Jimbo Fisher this week, and the rest of this season.

“He is the most talked about coach in college football right now because he is vastly and woefully underperforming,” Finebaum said on ESPN’s “Get Up.”

Finebaum referred to the $85 million buyout of Fisher’s contract, which Finebaum said wouldn’t happen this year, but could in the future.

“Next year, the pressure’s on,” he said. “Don’t forget, A&M started this season No. 6 in the country and they’re going to struggle the rest of the way, especially Saturday night. Next year, if Jimbo Fisher doesn’t win, that $85 million won’t be tough for those Texas oil tycoons to come up with.”

The Aggies will take on Alabama this week at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
