If you’re a fan of 1 of the lucky 15 undefeated FBS teams left in college football, congratulations.

And now, we’ll ponder when the other shoe will drop. Yes, fans of Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee and/or Ole Miss, your day is (probably) coming.

Here’s our forecast of when each of the unbeatens will fall:

No. 1 Georgia: SEC Championship Game vs. Alabama

A repeat of last year? Georgia hosts Tennessee and otherwise seems pretty unlikely to be challenged. But if last year’s Georgia squad can’t complete the season undefeated, who can?

No. 2 Ohio State: CFP or bust

Frankly, it’s Georgia or Alabama at this point, and Ohio State seems prepared for whatever the sport throws at it. Handling an elite SEC team is the last remaining hurdle, and while it’s a big one, until we see otherwise, Ohio State won’t be truly tested before that.

No. 3 Alabama: Oct. 22 vs. Mississippi State

Alabama has dodged a couple of what would have been shocking losses. Beating Tennessee will take the Crimson Tide’s emotional edge, and Mike Leach’s Bulldogs will shock them the next week. Admittedly, State will be a good-sized underdog, but Alabama’s undefeated status seems to be living on borrowed time.

No. 4 Clemson: CFP or bust

Who takes down Clemson? The 1st good team the Tigers play, which unfortunately is probably going to be in the College Football Playoff semifinal. The difference between Clemson and Ohio State is that Clemson probably isn’t ready for that challenge.

No. 5 Michigan: Nov. 26 at Ohio State

Revenge is a dish best served cold, and Ohio State would love an unbeaten showdown with the Wolverines at the Horseshoe. Michigan is a good team, but keeping up with Ohio State is more than this Wolverines squad can handle. To be honest, if Michigan’s schedule heading into Columbus wasn’t this light, it wouldn’t last to November.

No. 6 Tennessee: Saturday vs. Alabama

For the first time in recent memory, this really seems like a game where Tennessee has better than a puncher’s shot. But history is on the Tide’s side, and given that the Vols pulled out 1-score wins over Pitt and Florida, outlasting Alabama feels a little too tall of a task.

No. 7 USC: Nov. 19 at UCLA

The story is too good to miss. A USC team — the defenders of West Coast glory — will be all but set for the Playoff. Until UCLA takes the Trojans down in their conference finale. Dorian Thompson-Robinson is the real deal, and USC will know that after this game.

No. 8 Oklahoma State: Saturday at TCU

TCU’s ground game will be a little too strong for the Cowboys. This is the same Oklahoma State team that gave up 44 points to Central Michigan in Week 1, after all.

No. 9 Ole Miss: Nov. 12 vs. Alabama

The Rebels could have a big fight the week before at Texas A&M, but we’ll keep them perfect until Bama. Admittedly, Alabama has a lot going on between now and then, but the Rebels offense doesn’t quite have enough firepower to keep up with the Tide.

No. 10 Penn State: Saturday at Michigan

This is one of those double-whammy games where somebody that’s unbeaten is taking an ‘L’. Our pick would be the Nittany Lions. While Jim Harbaugh’s Wolverines haven’t been exceptionally fearsome, Penn State has won its 2 conference games — at Purdue and at home against Northwestern — by a combined 14 points. A team coming into the Michigan game converting under 34 percent of its third downs will run out of luck soon.

No. 11 UCLA: Oct. 22 at Oregon

This game will be a shootout, but at Oregon the Bruins might not have quite enough firepower to withstand (gulp) the Bo Nix attack. Wow, that felt odd.

No. 13 TCU: Nov. 22 at Texas

TCU will be getting genuine CFP hype by the time it heads to Texas in November. The Longhorns have had a rebirth … ask Oklahoma, if in doubt. They’ll score a solid upset at home, ending the TCU to the Playoff storyline.

No. 18 Syracuse: Saturday vs. North Carolina State

A team that beats Virginia by 2 points and Purdue by 3 is not staying undefeated for very long. N.C. State is probably the 2nd-best team in the ACC, and it should take care of Syracuse’s Cinderella story pretty quickly.

No. 25 James Madison: Nov. 5 at Louisville

If he’s healthy again, Malik Cunningham will be something very different from what James Madison sees on a weekly basis. The late November game against Coastal Carolina is another possibility. Speaking of which …

Coastal Carolina: Oct. 29 at Marshall

First Notre Dame, now Coastal Carolina. Marshall — destroyer of football powerhouses.
