One to go: Sam Pittman sets lofty goal following win over Auburn
Sam Pittman is chasing a white whale.
He’s seen relative success in his time in Fayetteville. With Arkansas’ 41-27 win over Auburn Saturday, Pittman earned his first win over the Tigers since arriving in 2020.
Pittman’s Razorbacks have now beaten 5 out of the 6 other teams in the SEC West. One to go.
Pittman: “I think now we’ve beaten every West team since I’ve been here other than ‘Bama. Need to get that one…”

It’s not fair to Alabama to say the Razorbacks were close this season. They did have the ball and a 5-point deficit a few weeks ago, but backup quarterback Jalen Milroe and Jahmyr Gibbs made sure to stifle that very quickly. Alabama went on to win, 49-26.
Arkansas is 5-3 on the year looking to finish strong after a bit of a stumble following that aforementioned Alabama game. The Razorbacks have now won 2 in a row with Hugh Freeze’s Liberty Flames on the docket for next week.
