Robert Griffin III has an idea on what Auburn should do after firing coach Bryan Harsin and he thinks the Tigers need to make some noise with their next hire.

Jackson State’s Deion Sanders has been a hot commodity on the coaching market ever since his successful first season and big recruiting wins. In 2021, Sanders led his team to an 11-2 finish and had major recruiting wins against Power 5 programs in the offseason by picking up players like Travis Hunter, who was ranked as the best player in the 2022 class by 247Sports.

Griffin took to Twitter on Monday to reveal he thinks the Tigers should go after Coach Prime and make him a major offer:

Auburn has struggled under Harsin and dropped to 3-5 for the 2022 season. The Tigers are in danger of missing out on a bowl appearance which would be the first time since 2012. Harsin’s overall record with Auburn is 9-12. Per 247Sports, Auburn walked away with the 23rd best class nationally and 9th ranked class in the conference.

Harsin’s best win was against Ole Miss in 2021 and arguably his best game was an OT loss against Alabama in 2021 at Jordan-Hare.

Numerous rumors and issues have been talked about during Harsin’s career at Auburn. It became clear it wasn’t a matter of “if” but a matter of “win” he was going to be let go.

Sanders would be a major hire for the Tigers and would send a message that they’re trying to change the direction of the program. Auburn is arguably the hardest job in all of college football at the moment and whoever is hired has to be ready to fix things right away.
