Tennessee sat atop the College Football Playoff rankings ahead of Saturday, but that all changed with the weekend’s 27-13 loss to the Georgia Bulldogs on the road.

Now, there are questions as to what things could look like in regard to the postseason for the Vols. College football analyst Rece Davis recently weighed in on where he saw the team being placed at by the CFP committee in the next release of the rankings.

Davis believes the Vols will remain in this week at the No. 4 spot.

“Where to place Tennessee is the biggest thing the CFP committee has to wrestle with this week,” Davis tweeted. “I think they’ll hang in there at #4 but we’ll see.”

It will be interesting to see where Tennessee lands and how things continue to evolve as the Vols finish out the season with matchups against the Missouri Tigers, South Carolina Gamecocks and the Vanderbilt Commodores — all games they should win with ease — to round out the season.
