Jimbo Fisher gave a positive update about Devon Achane and Evan Stewart being available for the LSU game this week. Both missed last week’s game against UMass.

Fisher said Monday that he’s “very optimistic” that both would return for the season finale on Saturday. He added that Achane and Stewart are both “pushing” and working hard.

“I can’t say for sure, but very optimistic,” Fisher said.

Earlier this month, Achane was seen in a walking boot on the field at Auburn.

Achane is the Aggies’ leading rusher this season with 887 yards on 158 carries (5.61 yards per carry) and 6 touchdowns. He also has 36 receptions on the year.

Stewart is the team’s leading receiver with 607 yards receiving and 2 touchdowns on 49 catches.
