The Iron Bowl between bitter in-state rivals Alabama and Auburn is set for 2:30 p.m. CT/3:30 p.m. ET in Tuscaloosa.

Ahead of kickoff, Mark May and Lou Holtz shared their analysis of the rivalry game and offered predictions.

Holtz delivered a hot take that Alabama is improperly ranked despite 2 losses, while picking UA to defeat Auburn easily.

“I really believe Alabama is one of the 2 best football teams in the entire country. I know they have 2 losses, both of them on the road. One in overtime, one on a 2-point conversion,” Holtz said. “…As far as Auburn, yeah they have won 2 in a row but they haven’t beaten a real good football team…Alabama wins this football game 38-10.”

Meanwhile, May believes the health of Alabama running back Jahmyr Gibbs will be the biggest factor in the outcome. May is also taking Alabama handily.

“I’m looking forward to watching this game. I wonder if Jahmyr Gibbs the great running back from Alabama if he’s going to be 100 percent healthy for this game,” May said. “If he’s up to snuff and close to 100 percent and plays and their offensive line can stick up and play Alabama wins this game 45-17.”

The 87th Iron Bowl is set for a 3:30 p.m. ET kickoff and will be televised on CBS.
