Arkansas beat Kansas in an instant classic Saturday night, one of many fantastic games to come from this year’s NCAA Tournament. In beating the Jayhawks, the Razorbacks advance to their 3rd straight Sweet 16 under head coach Eric Musselman.

And now after a day of waiting the Razorbacks know who they will be facing off against in the Sweet 16: UConn. The Huskies used a 2nd half surge to breeze past Saint Mary’s, 70-55.

And Dan Hurley’s squad is looking tough to beat right now. The Huskies have won 8 of their last 9, falling only to Marquette in the Big East tournament. They run through 6-foot-9 center Adama Sanogo, who has been an absolute force in the tournament. He scored 28 points in Round 1 vs. Iona and dropped 24 in Sunday’s win.

Tristen Newton is another name to watch out for. The 6-foot-5 point guard is a strong 3-point shooter and scored 13 points against the Gaels. UConn as a team shoots a solid 36.2% from range.

The game is set for Thursday night, though times have not yet been announced. If the Razorbacks win, it’ll be their 3rd trip to the Elite 8 in 3 years after making the 8 as a 3-seed and a 4-seed.

Yeah, it seems Eric Musselman knows a thing or 2 about coaching in March.
