The SEC is out with dates for Missouri’s games against South Dakota and Arkansas.

The Tigers will open the season on Aug. 31, a Thursday, against South Dakota in a game set for the SEC Network with kickoff at 8 p.m. ET. The Battle Line Rivalry will be on Black Friday, a 4 p.m. ET kickoff on Nov. 24.

Missouri officials since last season have aimed to created a special experience for fans to open the season.

It’s the 10th straight season CBS has chosen to televise the Black Friday game, however, pending TV changes could lead to schedule moves in the future. This is the final year of a contract for CBS to televise SEC football games. All games will be shown on ESPN-affiliated networks, including ABC, beginning in 2024.

Missouri defeated Arkansas 29-27 last season in Columbia. The Tigers have a 7-2 lead in the series since joining the SEC. Both of the Razorbacks’ wins have come in Fayetteville, most recently in 2021.

The Razorbacks are used to playing on Black Friday. Arkansas began playing Black Friday football games on CBS 27 years ago, and played LSU 16 times on that Friday between 1996-2013.

There are other notable Power 5 games on Thursday, Aug. 31:
