Tennessee fans call for Josh Heupel to bench Joe Milton in midst of rough game vs. Aggies

Let’s just get out there and say it. Joe Milton is looking rough against Texas A&M.
The Michigan transfer hasn’t looked anywhere near the quarterback the Vols needed him to be this season, and that’s apparent in Week 7’s matchup between the Vols and Aggies. Milton’s box score looks so-so to the naked eye, but those watching know the truth. He’s missing passes, the offense looks slow and Josh Heupel almost seems handicapped by his inaccuracy down the field.
Tennessee has yet to push the ball down the field consistently, today or this season. And regardless, the Vols’ defense has kept them well within this game as we enter the halfway point in the 3rd quarter.
A few fans have seen enough. They’re calling for Heupel to make a change for Nico Iamaleava while benching Milton for a 2nd time across his Tennessee tenure.

Joe Milton had a lot of time to prove he can ball. This is the half way point of the season and he has done nothing to prove he can win consistently. Bench him. Let Nico start learning. You can’t do any worse than what Joe just did.
