Bo Wallace’s senior year is not off to a great start.

The Ole Miss quarterback threw three first half interceptions against Boise State, and the Rebels offense compounded the turnovers by committing seven false starts. Wallace did find Cody Core for a 30-yard touchdown late in the first quarter, and Ole Miss leads the Broncos 7-3 at halftime.

Wallace finished the half 13-22 passing for 148 yards, plus the touchdown and three picks.

The Rebels’ saving grace was its defense, especially its defensive line. Ole Miss held the Broncos out of the end zone for three straight plays inside the 3-yard-line, resulting in a BSU field goal, its only points of the half.

Boise State quarterback Grant Hedrick threw three interceptions of his own in the first half: one to defensive end C.J. Johnson on a pass tipped by Robert Nkemdiche, one to safety Cody Prewitt and the other to cornerback Senquez Golson.

Ole Miss linebacker Serderius Bryant was ejected in the first quarter for a helmet-to-helmet hit on Hedrick.

Boise State out-gained Ole Miss 205 yards to 169 in the half.
