The Gamecocks will keep an eye on these five Georgia Bulldogs during Saturday’s pivotal Eastern Division rivalry matchup:

5. Damian Swann: The lone returning starter in a secondary decimated by dismissals and transfers, Swann’s seen it all during his last two seasons as a starter and remembers Georgia’s 2012 loss at Williams-Brice Stadium far too well. The Bulldogs were smoked that night and this senior’s unit looked out of sorts in a hostile environment. He won’t let it happen again.

4. Amarlo Herrera: Deserving of the SEC’s defensive player of the week award after his 12-tackle, two-sack performance against Clemson, Herrera welcomes the title of the Bulldogs’ most underrated defender and leader in a talent-rich linebacking group. A mid-round draft prospect, Herrera’s stock will soar with 100-plus tackle season on Jeremy Pruitt’s blitz-geared defense.

3. Leonard Floyd: A freak of nature off the edge, the Gamecocks are going to have to account for this rangy sophomore who registered two sacks against the Tigers. Poised to burst out of his shell as Georgia’s most gifted defender, Floyd’s a future star at the next level if he continues to develop into one of college football’s most feared pass rushers.

2. Keith Marshall: While freshman Nick Chubb’s received much of the pub since his 47-yard touchdown run in the season opener, Georgia’s true No. 2 is still Marshall, a former five-star from Raleigh, N.C. who is back for his junior campaign after an ACL tear ended last season in October. With 19 career catches, Marshall’s quick out of the backfield and is the perfect option in the short passing game for Hutson Mason.

1. Todd Gurley: The scouting report’s been out for a couple seasons — this guy’s pretty good. After setting a record for all-purpose yardage his first game of his junior season, Gurley’s had two weeks worth of film study and ice baths in prep for South Carolina who has struggled to tackle this fall and owns the SEC’s worst defense overall.
