No. 15 Ole Miss (2-0) will make its 2014 home debut in an afternoon showdown UL Lafayette on Saturday. Let’s take a look inside some of the numbers.

THE GOOD

0: Amount of interceptions thrown by Ole Miss quarterback Bo Wallace last week in a 38-point win over Vanderbilt. Wallace threw three interceptions a week earlier against Boise State, nearly costing the Rebels a critical non-conference victory.

1: Total number of touchdowns allowed by the Ole Miss defense in its two victories this season. The Rebels have made it tough to get the ball in the red zone, and even tougher to get in the end zone, holding teams to field goals or less on all but one trip inside the Ole Miss 20.

16: Plays run by the Rebels’ offense gaining 20 yards or more, tied for first in the SEC. Unfortunately for Ole Miss fans, the Rebels are tied with Mississippi State atop the conference in this category.

THE BAD

19: The number of penalties Ole Miss has committed just two weeks into the season. No one else in the conference has committed more than 14 penalties to this point. However, Ole Miss has only amassed 113 yards of penalty yardage, which is only fourth-worst in the SEC ahead of Auburn (12 penalties-116 yards), Vanderbilt (14 penalties-119 yards) and Texas A&M (12 penalties-140 yards).

3.0: Combined yards per carry by the Ole Miss rushing attack this season. No Rebel has rushed for more than 48 yards through two games, and only two Rebels have gained more than 37 yards in 2014.

5: Sacks allowed by the Ole Miss offensive line, tied for worst in the SEC with Kentucky and Vanderbilt. The Rebels have lost 26 total yards of field position on those five sacks, good for third-worst in the conference.
