The referees handling Florida’s game this season must sympathize with Will Muschamp’s tenuous job status.

For a second time this season, the Gators won the game thanks to an official’s inability to spot the expired game clock. Against Tennessee, Austin Hardin banged home the game-winning 49-yard field goal clearly after the play clock hit double-zero.

DID THE REBELS GET AWAY WITH A DIRTY PLAY?

Alabama RB Kenyon Drake appeared to suffer a gruesome lower leg or ankle injury Saturday against Ole Miss. At the end of the play, a Rebels player appears to kick at Drake, or perhaps at the ball.

Either way, it could easily be construed as unsportsmanlike, though the player suffered no consequences.

ALABAMA FACEMASK SHOULD’VE NEGATED TD

Ole Miss ultimately won the game, which takes the sting out of what could’ve been a much more controversial call. Still, when Alabama DB Cyrus Jones stripped RB I’Tavius Mathers and returned the fumble for a touchdown to give the Tide a 14-3 lead at halftime, he appeared to commit a blatant facemask to make the takeaway possible.

NO FUMBLE FOR YOU

Dylan Thompson couldn’t recover a wayward South Carolina snap in the first half Saturday night, setting up a short field for Kentucky. At least it looked like that. But the officials ruled that the Gamecocks retained possession.
