It was a dominant performance from the Auburn Tigers on Saturday night.

Nick Marshall amassed 326 total yards and four touchdowns leading Auburn to a 41-7 win over LSU. The Tigers’ defense held LSU to 0-13 on third downs and stymied an offense featuring quarterback issues with true freshman Brandon Harris and Anthony Jennings.

On a day in which four of the top six teams lost for the first time since 1990, Auburn was the beneficiary of upsets and a rout of a top 15 team. The Tigers jumped to No. 2 in both the Amway Coaches Poll and Associated Press Top 25 and now sit more than 100 points ahead of No. 3 Baylor.

In the Coaches Poll, the Tigers are 28 points behind No. 1 Florida State and, for the first time this season, received first place votes – 16 to be exact. In the AP Top 25, Auburn received 1,459 points and 23 first place votes.

Auburn now turns its attention to No. 6/3 Mississippi State, who thumped No. 14 Texas A&M in Starkville. ESPN’s “College GameDay” announced on Sunday that it will be live from Starkville for the SEC West showdown.
