The Florida Gators are looking to rebound from last week’s tough loss against LSU and pull out a big win versus another SEC East foe in the Missouri Tigers.

Here’s a look at the Gators’ best and worst numbers heading into the game.

THE GOOD

10: sacks in the last two games. Florida’s defensive line hit a lull at the beginning of the season, but has come on very strong in the last two weeks. Specifically, Bryan Cox and Alex McAlister have led the defensive line against Tennessee and LSU as the two sophomores have a combined seven sacks between them.

71: yards rushing by quarterback Jeff Driskel. Although Driskel may not be a game-changer in the passing arena, his running ability can cause some trouble for opposing defenses. He is often at his best when he’s a big part of the running game plan and his 71 yards against LSU led the team, an encouraging sign for what otherwise has been a disappointing season for him.

27: points scored in regulation against LSU. Although the Gators lost, the offense did progress somewhat. They put 27 points on the board, the most in regulation time since their first game of the season.

THE BAD

140: rushing yards by true freshman back Leonard Fournette. For the first time this season, the Gators defense couldn’t stop the run. Of course, they gave up huge numbers against Alabama, but that was mainly in the fourth quarter after the defense had worn down from being on the field all game. LSU’s Fournette delivered some big runs early and was a key reason for the Tigers’ 30-27 win.

8: interceptions for Jeff Driskel in SEC play. The redshirt junior has been a turnover machine so far in conference games. He’s thrown just six touchdowns all season, but all eight of his picks have been against SEC opponents.

1: loss away from virtually being out of the SEC East race. If Florida loses Saturday night, it’ll put the Gators in a very tough position. In that case, it would take Georgia, Missouri and Kentucky all losing multiple times in their remaining SEC games for the Gators to have a chance to reach Atlanta.
