Georgia fans get free Waffle House after win over Auburn
Georgia fans lined up at Waffle House on West Clayton Street in Athens on Wednesday as payment for the 2014 Waffle Wager.
Last week, Saturday Down South reported that three Waffle House suppliers placed a bet on the Deep South’s Oldest Rivalry. The suppliers — Basic American Foods, C.H. Guenther & Son, Inc., and Royal Cup, Inc. — paid up on Wednesday. The event will continue throughout the evening on Wednesday.
In addition to free waffles, hashbrowns and coffee for 24 hours, Waffle House and its three suppliers donated $15,000 the general scholarship fund at the University of Georgia.
