Five-star DE Byron Cowart leaves Florida visit early

Five-star defensive end Byron Cowart is no longer in Gainesville.

The top uncommitted defensive prospect left his visit early because his mother was called into work in Tampa.

Cowart arrived in Gainesville late last night, and the visit would have lasted through Saturday.

The Tampa native is down to Auburn and Florida, he’s he’s the No. 3 overall player in the country, according to 247Sports. Most figure Cowart is an Auburn lean with National Signing Day around the corner.
