Alabama and Auburn are used to locking horns when its comes to football, and it appears they’ll be going to battle over an elite 2016 quarterback recruit. Four-star dual-threat quarterback Jawon Pass gave a list of his top five schools to 247sports this weekend, and it included both of the SEC’s programs from the state of Alabama.

Pass — can you think of a better name for a quarterback? — is a 6-foot-5, 220 pound quarterback who has reportedly run a 4.5-second 40-yard dash. He also listed Louisville, North Carolina and Virginia Tech along with Alabama and Auburn. Hailing from Carver High School in Columbus, Ga., Pass is rated as the No. 2 dual-threat QB in the 247sports industry composite and the No. 47 player overall.

In the interview linked above, Pass said he plans to make his college decision in July and that he currently doesn’t have a favorite. He said he plans to visit Auburn for the Tigers spring game on April 18.
