A wide orange stripe on pants is about as much flare as you’re going to get from an apparel perspective at Auburn, a program sporting one of college football’s most classic looks.

The Tigers moved to their current navy facemasks in 1984 after tinkering with bright orange from 1979-83. Auburn’s iconic helmet has remain unchanged since. The Tigers have proudly worn the overlapping AU logo on their shells every game (except one) since 1966 after they replaced navy numeral stickers with the familiar graphic.

lesterAuburn donned logo-free helmets with blue and orange stripe decals on Oct. 6, 2007 to commemorate the 1957 national champion team.

Though navy pants — and even orange — have been rumored in recent years during Auburn’s current partnership with Under Armour, it doesn’t look like that will be happening in 2015. The Tigers donned orange tops in 1946 then brought them back three different Saturdays from 1978-80.

The first SEC program to ink a deal with Under Armour in 2006 under Tommy Tuberville, Auburn signed a seven-year extension with the Baltimore-based company four years later.
